Tamara Cavenett OAM is an experienced Adelaide-based Clinical Psychologist working with adults and couples across a broad range of psychological concerns.

Meet Tamara
Tamara Cavenett OAM is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience across clinical practice, leadership and the broader mental health sector. She has previously led Adelaide’s leading private mental health hospital and outpatient psychiatry and psychology services.
Tamara has held significant national leadership roles within the Australian Psychological Society (APS), including President from 2021–2022 and President-elect in 2020. She is also a past National Chair of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists and has served as an Advisory Board Member for the Master of Clinical Psychology program at UniSA.
Her professional contributions include publications in leading psychology journals and regular television, radio, podcast and print media commentary on psychology and mental health.
In 2026, Tamara was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in recognition of her contribution to psychology and the community.
