TAMARA CAVENETT

Tamara Cavenett OAM is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience across clinical practice, mental health leadership and the broader psychology profession. She has led major private mental health hospitals in Adelaide and is a former President of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and past National Chair of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
Tamara has contributed to psychology through clinical practice, research, education and public discussion of mental health. In 2026, she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her contribution to psychology and the community.
Her approach to therapy is warm, thoughtful and practical. Tamara believes psychological care should be evidence-based and genuinely individual — helping people understand what they are experiencing, develop practical skills and make meaningful changes in their lives.
